A day at the skate park

I had an opportunity the other day to observe some young individuals skateboarding in a skate park. As I watched, I noticed that countless times they would fall, brush themselves off and get back up to do it all over again. They didn't sit back in judgement of themselves-- no, they got back up and practiced it again.

Once they master a certain maneuver they would try something else; always growing from their experience. This got me thinking about life and how most of us confront life. We feel that we need to know it all. That mistakes are just that, mistakes! We keep forgetting an important lesson-- we didn't come here to know it all and we didn't come here to get it all  done.

We came here to experience life; we came here to expand. We came here to grow, to push ourselves and in this process enjoy ourselves. To be light about and laugh about our mistakes. For without our mistakes there would be no growth. Thank you to the young ones for showing me this amazing insight to our true essence which is expansion.
